Hi David,
I am looking at your Blackjack auction..
I would change a few things..
I noticed, that there are others who have similar ads to what you have.. Only a couple and they are only store items, but still, there are one or two..
SO, you don't really need to change a ton in the ad. Rather, I would just change mainly its appearance and some of the wording..
Also, I would change the icon everyone sees. The gallery icon that shows up in the search results.
Last, I would look at one of your competition here:
And, note the pattern in the history here:
FIRST, GALLERY ICON:
I will help you with both here.. Let me dig up a few good icons for you.. First..
I should
tell you how I get most of my icons, anyways, so you can find them in the same manner..
I use google images and do keyword searches:
Some good ones:
Any pictures to convince people your ebook is the real deal. I don't know much about blackjack, but the idea is pictures are worth a lot when selling. The more convincing and colorful the
better.
The WHOLE idea is to do a lot of reverse engineering analysis..
What I do is find the top money maker on the topic of ebook or information product I am going to sell. So..
I would literally do a search like this, and go down the list until I found something that was getting high sales that was semi related to what I wanted to sell and look at their "title", "description", "marketing strategy", etc..
Then, I would hybrid the good points from all
those selling on the topic (here we are talking about blackjack) and also try to ad it to my product. So, if my blackjack ebook did not have a certain characteristic which really sells, I would find a way to ad it, either by finding another ebook on blackjack that has it cheap or writing it out myself..
For instance, a quick browse through the above search and this guy caught my eye on page 2 of the above link:
$7.77. Clever price.. I like how he is thinking already.. Also, he has been selling on half of his auctions all listed in a row. Very good sign..
He obviously has something you want.. So, I would go in and reverse engineer what he is doing.. Why is it selling?
Good layout.. Colorful graphic at the top (the dynamic effect not terribly relevant, if you have a kick butt static one to compete). He has his sections titles in his ad all in red.. Smart.. Notice how he uses questions and hints at the benefits of having his system within the section
titles.
He has this down pretty good, so he is one to watch..
NOW, here is the kicker.. If you can reverse engineer his ad and others who are making the money, implement those characteristics into your ad AND you do the test auctions and get the sales, THEN, you can take it big..
So, once you have the auctions selling like his here, you can take it to the TOP of the page for $20 bucks and get like 10 sales per auction.. Of course, you crank the price, by adding shipping cost.. A clever way would be:
$7.77 + 3.33 S&H
Or maybe some other clever shipping cost number.. Some other number maybe associated with gambling or would add to something that is a number associated with gambling..
So, you get $10 bucks a pop, sell 10 an auction, in the dutch format at the
top of the page.. ALL AFTER you get the ad right at the bottom of the page for starters..
So, you are working on the ad now.. Get it right, get the sales to prove it, and take it to the top.. THEN, branch off into other categories..
A good way to do that is to put it on CD, so eBay will allow you to put it in multiple categories.. As an ebook can only be sold in a few categories..
You can also reap on the shipping costs putting it on CD, by making it higher than it costs to ship..
Can you see how I do this somewhat? Try doing the above and getting this going and get me back a revised ad link.. You know, revise the ad and send me the link..
Sincerely
Tony
