Hi,
Actually, the cool thing about eBay is you don't have to pay the fees right up front..
What I do is have them monthly deduct my fees from my bank account.
So, like if you started some auctions today, you would not have to pay for the auction costs until practically 45 days from now. By then, you have already received orders and payments to your Paypal account and will have plenty of money (if doing it right) to pay your eBay fees..
So, here are the fees:
1. eBay listing fees.. Your account is charged and you only pay monthly for your fees accrued.
2. Paypal fees.. They are automatically deducted as you receive the payments in Paypal, so nothing has to be done on your part.
3. Miscellaneous fees.. If you get eBay Selling Manager Pro, its like $20 bucks a month
or something.. if you end up getting a store for your eBay account, which is also about $20 bucks, then you end up getting the eBay Selling Manager Pro free.. So, its like buy one get one free this way.. Then, there are other fees maybe on your end. Like if you have server space to have your eBooks hosted on so you can send your customers links to the eBooks.. Thats only like $10 bucks a month..
There are not much other fees out there if you just are selling eBooks..
Of course, if you sell physical product (which I can help you with also) you would have other fees, like shipping fees, buying the product, etc..
Sincerely
Tony

You win ... I'll try getting use to the idea ... what I would really like to have is a site on ebay (power seller site) selling books (old, rare, new, 1st edition and, of course, my own).
How much does it cost to get a power seller site set up to do such a thing?
