Hi Michael,
I am looking at your auction Item number: 8425259604
FIRST INTO ACTION
A DRAMATIC PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF LIFE IN THE SBS
The biggest thing wrong I noticed right away was the title..
The title needs to be maxed out with keywords.
When you write a title, think of every word/phrase someone would write to find information on this book's topic.
Then, you try to squeeze the top words and phrases into the title.
As it now stands, these are the only words searched on ebay for this listing:
"FIRST INTO ACTION"
The subtitle is not indexed into the search engine.
SO, if someone searches "SBS" or "SAS" they will not see your listing..
Or, if they search "Special Forces" they will not see your listing.
So, I am guessing, just from what i see here that "Special Forces" and "SBS" are both really good and should be in the title so people can find your listing..
THE EASIEST WAY TO MAKE A KILLER AUCTION:
Basically, at every step, ask yourself what your customer is going to do when he is searching on eBay for your item and what it will take to convince him to buy..
So, when they are doing the search, what words will he likely put into the search engine.
When he looks at your listing, what does he really want or want to hear.. Put that in your auction.
What would convince him to buy?
What graphics could you use to really grab their attention?
This is basically what I do.. There is a little more science to it, but this is the nuts and bolts behind the mechanism of selling on eBay..
Sincerely
Tony
