Are you Interested in Generating Some Extra Cash?

Hi.

1. You are correct..  It is all marketing..  That is essentially the biggest key to just about any product or endeavor on ebay..  About 70% of it is marketing..  The good news is I can help you in this department..

I just looked up Donna Dewberry on ebay and see that it is painting kits and learning to paint type products..

The main trick to all of this is knowing how to integrate marketing correctly into what you are selling..

I guess the best way I can help you is if you can send me some links of auctions you have done in the past (if any) and also auctions of those who are appearing to make good money on ebay doing so..

What it will come down to is essentially reverse engineering or "deducing" what it is about your competitor's marketing that makes it work..  I will help you with this..  Send me their auctions or atleast give me some keywords to plug in to find your main competitors and I will breakdown what it is about their selling that is working..

Further, I might be able to improve on their selling techiniques..

ONE THING you should know right now..  As long as you have solid talent, it will have only 30% to do with how good your paintings are..  The rest is how your get it to your customers.. How your sell it, pricing strategies, gallery icons, layout of auction, background credentials, testimonies, etc..  Even the best of the best had to start somewhere..  So, if you do not have many testimonials, you should try to get something you can put in your auction.  Also, with credentials, often, if you do not have enough credentials, you can leave it out..  All depends on the situation..

There are tons of variables and the best way we can do this is for you to send some links to your auctions, competitor auctions, etc..

From there, I can guide you and give you a road map and show you logically why I chose this or that or why a certain attribute is relevent, etc..

2.  Bridal shower website.  Again, we are probably looking at the overall marketing strategy..  Sounds cool that you are getting some money from it, but wouldn't it be great if you could throw it into hyper drive?  Maybe make a plan to get to so much subscribers to your website.

Do you have subscribers to your website, like I have to mine?  If not, that could be what you really need..  I have found that for the one man or woman shows, the best way to make money on a website is to have a subscription based website..  That way, you can get people to sign up to pay you maybe $2.95 to $9.95 a month for access to your website..  Of course, you have to have content on there that is relevant and I could show you some clever techiniques to put up automated dynamic content, etc..

3.  Actually, the best way to look at automation is not ebooks, but to take a step back and see that "informational products" is what you want to sell.  For instance, a subscription bridal shower website is an "informational product" and could be very nice income if you had 1000 subscribers paying you $4.95 a month..  See what I mean?  It can also be automated, save the editing of the website and answering some email..  But, its cool, because it is something you love, so it works in your favor anyways...

Informational products:

1. ebooks.
2. domain names.
3. services.
4. subscription based websites.
5. etc..

4. With ebay, the approach would probably be about marketing your work..  If you wanted to sell your paintings for instance..

One of the bigger mistakes people make is they buy or create a product and then try to sell it..  Bad idea..

RATHER, find out what really sells and makes the most money and then buy it or create it and sell it..

That way, you know up front what you are making is going to sell and is going to make you money..  Much better than making something you don't know if it will sell or not..

Its all "reverse engineering" or "deducing", as sherlock holmes did..  You figure out why your competitors sell well.  You figure out what sells good.  You figure out what makes the most money.  THEN, you buy or create that item and sell it..

Sincerely
Tony

Hi Tony,
Thank you for your program. I 've spent time reading most of your site.
I'll probably have more to ask in the future, but for now please help with the following:
1.--I'm a decorative artist/teacher with Donna Dewberry/One Stroke painting. You're probably not familiar with this, but her products under the last two keywords sell well on Ebay. In the past, I've tried selling some shabby chic items I painted(under another EbayID)with limited success. I love to paint. Some people are doing really well with this. Most aren't and I know marketing is the problem. I'm really strapped for money. Check on Ebay keywords hp roses.
2.--I've had a bridal shower site for the past two years at www.bridal-shower-ideas-for-you.com  I don't make much from it, but its slowly building, so I'd like to keep it.
3.--I thought I wanted to sell ebooks, partly because I like the eventual automation, and partly for the lack of money on my part. I have found some ebooks on your site that I could link to from my website, such as dessert recipes.
Any sales would add to what I'm doing. But, in general, most of the titles I could use, aren't making much on Ebay, to promote them on Ebay.
4.--I do agree that there's more money to be made on Ebay.  I'm really not set on a specific way of doing things, but know I'll do better with something I have a real interest in. These are:painting and most crafts, floral design, health and nutrition,
travel, educational (how to)books and videos.
5.--I hope this wasn't too long, and appreciate any advice you have to offer.
Thanks!
Trish
