Pearl 8: Reverse Engineering
- Most people, when deciding what to sell on eBay, they generally do it the wrong way.
- Naturally, most people will come up with a good idea for products to buy or create. Then, they go about aquiring or creating the product and spend a great deal of time doing so. Then, after they are finished they go to market it and discover that they are not making as much as hoped or simply are having difficulty selling the product.
- The correct way to go about this is to start from the end and work towards the beginning. Basically, you start with finding a product that is selling good that you like. Write down as many as you find and pick the most profitable of the bunch. Now, in reverse order you have to discover how to buy or create that product. Once you have completed this, it is easy to sell, as you already have proof it sells well.
- This is the best way to go about finding new product as then, you are almost guaranteed it will sell great after you aquire the item, as you have proof from previous sales on eBay that it sold well in the past.. And as we all know, history repeats itself.
