It features a circa 1922 authentic oval style, has a front overflow and is right height for greater comfort during use. The American Standard Standard-Collection pedestal lavatory is a combination of the Standard Collection sink top and pedestal and is constructed of fireclay (a variation of vitreous china that has greater amounts of quartz and feldspar), which is heavier, denser and thicker than regular clay - qualities that insure smooth, flat surfaces not achievable with standard vitreous china.
