And instead of just the usual warning light, the PSAPP1R sounds an audible alarm when surge protection is enabled while it continues to supply power after the surge has occurred. So instead of having spoiled food in your fridge or having to unplug other appliances, the PSAPP1R keeps things easy by not shutting power down. It does this through bypass circuitry which allows the protector to continue passing current to the appliance.
