Simply touch its plastic switch with your tongue and three LED lamps direct a powerful beam of NVG green light wherever your head is pointed, until you turn it off. (Military specifications required the Mic Light to be compatible with all night vision goggles and helmets and preserve dark adaptation. The NVG color won't wash out red text on charts like red lamps and filters do, yet it isn't so bright as to reduce your night vision outside the cockpit.
