The first nutcracker to appear in the Dickens Townsfolk Nutcracker Series is The Lamplighter (ES1919SIG). This nutcracker stands at 18.5 inches tall and is an exclusive limited edition of 7,500 pieces, with an even further limited number of pieces signed by Karla Steinbach. Historically a lamplighter was employed by the town and lit all of the streetlights with a wick on the end of a long pole at sundown and at dawn return with the same pole with a hook on the end to turn them off.
