World Centric Compostable 39-Gallon Trash Bag, 200 ct: Kitchen & Dining. These bags will biodegrade between 90-180 days, depending on the composting method. World Centric is happy to announce our new compostable bags, which are comparable to BioBags. Made from mixture of synthetic and starch based plastics, the bags meet the European standard EN 13432, the strictest standard for compostable plastics. Soy based ink, is used for printing on the bags. Currently, all compostable trash bags in the market are made from a mixture of synthetic and starch based plastics. The synthetic content usually ranges from 55-percent to 100-percent . The synthetic polymer content is necessary to give the bag its elasticity, stretchability and tensile strength. Please note that composting is required for biodegradation.
