The U.S. Code states that: "It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flag staffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness." This, heavy duty, commercial grade, weatherproof, multi-purpose solar light is made exclusively by Solar Illuminations and has 45 super bright LED light bulbs which provide a light output of 270 Lumens (equal to about 60-75 watts). Fully automatic activation (on at dusk and off at dawn). The innovative fixture also incorporates a switch for manual on/off setting and a photocell (light sensor) which automatically activates the light when it becomes dark and deactivates the light during the day time.
