Method 1: Dutch Category Featured Auctions

With this method, you first start selling your ebook on ebay in the standard manner, with no added services, such as bold, border or category featured. Once you have done the trial and error to get your sales to about 30% sell through with a price of $5 to $10 each, you then make your auction into a dutch auction (has multiple available for purchase) and category feature it (at the top of the search result page). So, you start small, once you have good sell through, you put marketing dollars behind it in the form or category featured, to increase your traffic to your auction. Hence, your goal is then to get about 8 sales or $50 profit per auction minimum at category featured level. And from there, you branch out the successful auction into other categories with alternating titles and days of being listed.. In the end, if your ebook and ad are very good, you can have potentially 10 dutch category featured auctions running per week, netting you $500 or more profit per week. Only a few ebooks can rise to the level of 10 dutch auctions, so if you only get 4 dutch auctions for your one ebook going, it is still $200 or more a week in profit from one ebook.

    STEPS:

    1. Basically, you make an ad description for the eBook. I generally find those who are selling a similar eBook and are making the most money out of all those selling that particular topic of ebook. I do this at a link like this:

[ eBay Reference Link - Click Here ]

I analyze those who are selling this type of eBook and find the seller making the most money.. I believe I already showed you who this was (hawaiian guy), but there are also many other good examples.. See the link above and do the research a bit..

    2. Then, you make your ad in a very similar manner taking the good attributes from the top ads that sell already on eBay.. Think about what of the attributes would seem most appealing to your customers..
    3. You make titles that are similar to the titles of the top sellers.. Make sure to get in the relevant keywords..
    4. Next, you put up an auction in a normal manner.. NOT at the top of the page.. Just a normal auction or buy it now.. Costs maybe $1+.
    5. Put up a few auctions like this.. Its a bit slow at this stage, but look at it as perfecting your ad. All you want to do is make sure you can sell on 40% of the auctions.. If you can do this, then your ad and title is solid. Make sure the price is solid, like $7.95 or $9.95.
    6. THEN, after you have gotten some sales, confirmed it sells 40% of the time, THEN, you can put it up at the top of the page in Featured manner. This will make the process less expensive, as you did your testing on the slower, lower priced regular auctions..
    7. NOW you are doing some testing at the featured level. It might already preform good as you tested at the lower levels, but this is a different way to sell, so you might have to do some testing to make sure you are getting the sales.. At the top of the page you will want to be doing dutch auctions and trying to sell 8 or more per auction..
    8. ONCE you have proof it is selling 8 or more and going good, THEN, you branch out into other categories, using other titles, and putting the auctions on different days. This capitalizes the area on eBay so you can max out what you make..

This is where you are at a level where you can make $50 bucks a day..

Takes a while, but I already have several products at this level. Make take even two months to do all of this, BUT IN THE END, it is worth it.

    Why is it worth it?

Do the math.. $50 a day x 3 years.. Thats $50,000.. I think testing and patience is worth $50,000.

I have made that much off some of my auctions like this.. I have probably made $100,000 off the TV Projector info kit I sell. It followed the same pattern in selling..

Method 2: Timely 1 or 3 Day Auction Strategy

This follows the same pattern for steps, except, instead of putting the ebook at the top of the page, you just shorten the time in which it is listed. So Method 1, you put more marketing dollars behind the ad once it is successfully selling at the standard level. With Method 2, you shorten the time in which they can make a decision.

    STEPS:

    1. Basically, you make an ad description for the eBook. I generally find those who are selling a similar eBook and are making the most money out of all those selling that particular topic of ebook. I do this at a link like this:

    6. THEN, after you have gotten some sales, confirmed it sells 40% of the time, THEN, you do some test auctions in the 1 day long format. This is a very fine process and could need several tweeks before it is running smoothly. Also, you have to consider whether your ebook would be considered a "grab item". In other words, this 1 day auction strategy is quite similar to the product you see at the checkout counter. It grabs your attention and either your grab it or you do not. So, this means, you only have one flash of a second to get their attention. I have found this method of selling can be very profitable if you can fine tune it. I would warn you that patience and faith is required to do either Method 1 or 2. So, you have to be motivated and patient. Consider it like an investment you are creating. If you do it right, it can make you money for YEARS to come. If you are lazy though and give up half way through, you are not going to make much of anything.
    7. ONCE you have proof it is selling 25% to 35% of the time on the one day auctions, THEN, you branch out into other categories, using other titles. This capitalizes the area on eBay so you can max out what you make..

This is where you are at a level where you can make $20 bucks a day..

Takes a while, but I already have several products at this level. Make take even a month to do all of this, BUT IN THE END, it is worth it.

    Why is it worth it?

Do the math.. $20 a day x 3 years.. Thats $20,000.. I think testing and patience is worth $20,000 off just one ebook. Imagine, you can do this with more ebooks after you get the first one to work for you.

I have made that much off some of my auctions like this.. I have probably made $75,000 profit ($150,000+ revenue) off the TV Projector info kit I sell. It followed the same pattern in selling..
