Search Help

To find information about a topic, simply type in a few keywords. The more detailed your query, the more relevant your results.

Our search engine also comes with some advanced capabilities to help you find exactly what you're looking for. These capabilities are best shown with a few examples:

Translated: require WHOLESALE, require product
Finds "WHOLESALE Product", "WHOLESALE product", and "product from WHOLESALE".
Does not find the lowercase "wholesale product".

Translated: forbid ebooks, require product
Finds only "product", "Product", "PRODUCT", and even "producT".
Does not find any documents with "joy", "Joy", "JOY", or even "joY".

Translated: prefer ebook, require ebay
Finds "ebook ebay", "ebay", and various capitalizations of these two.
Documents with both terms appear higher in the list.

Translated: require the phrase "karate ebook"
Finds "karate ebook".
Does not find "karate Ebook" nor "ebook karate".

Translated: require recipe (case insensitive), require words starting with "ebook"
Finds "recipe ebook", "recipe ebooks", etc.
The asterisk is a wildcard representing any four or fewer characters.

Translated: require wholesale (case sensitive), require product, forbid ebook, prefer ebay
First lists "ebay product wholesale", then "product wholesale", etc.
Does not list lowercase "wholesale product".

Note on case sensitivity - only words or phrases containing an upper case character will be treated as case sensitive. A search on "ebook" will match "Ebook", "EBOOK", and "eBook", while the term "EBOOK" matches only its uppercase version.

The asterisk is a powerful search tool, but has some limitations. It cannot span words - that is, the query "lov*atience" would not match the words love and patience - and it can represent at most four letters or numbers. To avoid overly broad searches, the asterisk can only be used in words or phrases which have at least three alpha-numeric characters. A search for "ch*" would be ignored.
