Your approach is what is wrong..
You are taking a very common approach.. Even a lot of pointy headed "smart" people will tell you similar things.. I am guessing you read a lot of blogs on how to make money online..
I have read them as well, just to see what they say.. Often, they are talking about "poor mans" techniques which don't often work..
TO GIVE IT TO YOU STRAIGHT:
I have been doing this 8 years with no job.. $250,000 a year..
How?
You need:
1. Traffic.
2. Good products.
3. Good ads..
TRAFFIC is generally where most make the mistake.. They are cheap and not willing to pay for traffic.. Maybe, because they were burned or just cheap, who knows..
TRAFFIC.. Ebay = Traffic.. Adwords = Traffic..
EBAY = Algebra
ADWORDS = Calculus
Ebay is the easiest place to make money.. Everyone complains, but that is because they just don't know how to sell..
I use to pay them $4000 a month.. I make $15,000 a month there..
SO, WHAT DO WE DO:
1. Either, we sell the item you are refering to on ebay and using adwords, or we try other products.. And I can show you easily how to pick the right products..
2. Both.. Sell the item/service you are trying to promote and also other items.. Probably best approach..
